Each month, the Ashland MFA Program receives calls for submissions and contest deadlines, which it publicizes in its monthly newsletter. Listed below are this month's calls for submissions, in order of deadlines, where posted.

Loraine Williams Poetry Prize

The Georgia Review is excited to announce the inaugural Loraine Williams Poetry Prize---$1,000 and publication in The Georgia Review for a single poem, originally written in English and never before published either in print or online. The submission period is 1 April 2013–15 May 2013, with the winning poem to be announced on 15 August 2013 and published in the Spring 2014 issue. Poems may be submitted online or by post.

The Muse - an International Journal of Poetry

'The Muse-an International Journal of Poetry ISSN 2249 –2178 ' calls for submission for June 2013 issue: (www.themuse.webs.com)

Submission guidelines:
1 Work submitted for publication must be original, previously unpublished (both print and online, not even published on blogs, literary or discussion forums or social networking sites), and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

2. Send 1 to 5 poems and a brief bio-data. A cover letter would be nice but is not mandatory.

3. The research papers/essays should be not less than 3000 words. References should be prepared strictly following MLA Stylesheet (7th edition).

4. E-mail your poems, essays and research papers to themuseindia@gmail.com . Response time varies from 2 to 12 weeks.

5. With poem/ research paper the poet/author is requested to submit a statement of originality of work.

6.The Muse acquires first-time electronic publication rights. We also reserve the right to republish it in future .
