Call for Submissions - June 2013

Each month, the Ashland MFA Program receives calls for submissions and contest deadlines, which it publicizes in its monthly newsletter. Listed below are this month's calls for submissions, in order of deadlines, where posted. Sustainable Arts Fellowship - Vermont Studio Center Sustainable Arts Foundation Fellowships: Two awards—one 4-week and one 2-week residency fellowship—for artists and writers who are raising young children. These awards include a stipend ($2,000 for the 4-week residency and $1,000 for the 2-week residency) to cover lost income, travel, childcare, and other costs related to taking time away from the family. Ashland Poetry Workshops Date Announced

The second annual Ashland Poetry Workshops will take place November 23-24, 2013 at Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio.  Workshops are taught by Ashland Poetry Press staff members Stephen Haven, Director, Deborah Fleming, Editor, and Sarah M. Wells, Managing Editor, along with Robin Davidson, author of Luminous Other , which will be published by Ashland Poetry Press in September 2013. The workshop weekend is a casual opportunity to connect with other poets and writers.  The weekend is free and open to the public.  A suggested donation of $20 is welcomed at check-in.
